Wisdom Teeth

To take part in this study you must have at least one fully or partially impacted wisdom tooth that requires removal.

The purpose of this study is to develop a new painkiller to be used after dental surgery.

Once you have registered your interest in taking part in this study you will be asked to see our dentist, where you will have a set of x-rays taken. You will then see one of our consultants who will confirm whether or not you have one or more wisdom teeth that require removal. You will then visit our private unit for an overall health check; this will include; measuring your height and weight, conducting blood and urine tests, and monitoring your blood pressure and heart rate.

Providing no health problems are detected, one week after your health check you will come to our unit and have your wisdom teeth/tooth removed. Following surgery you will be required to stay overnight in our unit for a total of 24 hours for monitoring purposes.

One week after surgery you will be required to come in for your final check-up appointment.

To be eligible for this trial you must be:
