Richmond Pharmacology take part in the MS Society Wheel and Walk: A great Success for all!
On Sunday the 13th July 2008 the MS Society held a Wheel and Walk event in Windsor Great Park and Richmond Pharmacology were privileged to be part of a great day.
Over 150 participants including staff from Richmond Pharmacology took part in one of three walks, (3.5km, 7km and 14km) to raise money for the MS society. Richmond Pharmacology sponsored the refreshments to ensure all those that took part were well hydrated on a fantastic sunny day in the park. We also had a stand at the event so that the interested public could come and find out more about our ongoing clinical trial involving patients with Multiple Sclerosis. We had a lot of interest and hopefully some of those that came to speak with us will now have the opportunity to take part in this clinical trial.
We are delighted that we were able to help raise money for the MS Society by sponsoring the refreshments and through the collections we took at our stand. In attendance were Dr Lorch, (Medical Director), Keith Berelowitz, (Head of Volunteer Recruitment and Screening), Katy Yarnall, (Project Manager) and Claire Whitehead, (Study Manager). Dr Lorch commented, "This was a great day and we are delighted that we could be part of it. This is a very exciting trial and hopefully our presence on the day helped to promote this trial whilst helping to raise much needed money for the MS Society. We hope that we can become involved in more of these events".
